Under ideal buff cover, the Reaper does little damage compared to other classes and is therefore not currently played by speedrun groups.
But that shoudln’t hide the fact that a well played Reaper does good damage especially in groups with bad buff coverage, low healing or inexperienced players.
Furthermore, a Reaper can bring a lot of – damage (especially ), , boon removal or resurrection for little DPS loss and thus be a massive support for the team in many places.
The gear for the Reaper is quite unusual because it does not have a 100% crit chance and the two weapon sets have very different crit chances. This is due to &B30DAAA=. Because of the trait, a balance must be struck between crit chance for normal attacks and damage in the shroud. In this case the average damage on greatsword is sacrificed for the benefit of the shroud.
The standard build for the Reaper.
Some skills can be customized according to the situation.
This rotation is optimized for as many &Bkh4AAA=-phases as possible.
&BjIpAAA=, &Bm8pAAA=, &Bix0AAA= and &Bp90AAA= all have the same cooldown and determine the loop of your rotation. When watching the video you will understand why you do specific numbers of autoattacks in the shroud, to line up the cooldowns.
Please note that the aftercast of &Bix0AAA= must be aborted. This can either be done as described in the opener by &Bp90AAA=, and &Bkh4AAA=. The written rotation states the usual order of skills for every case.
If the opponent falls <50% of his life, steps 1-3 and 16-18 are replaced by ~6/7 of &BtN1AAA=. Also below 50% you can conserve lifeforce by ending your shroud after only 5 autoattack chanins and making up the time difference with more &BtN1AAA=. With a little practice you can abbreviate the aftercast of &BtN1AAA= with “Weapon Stow” and use only between ~1100 and ~1250ms instead of the usual ~1330ms.
It is important that you always make at least 5 (most of the time 6/7, 5 below 50%) whole autoattack-chains (occasionally 6 see video) in the &Bkh4AAA=, as these will reduce the cooldown of &Bih3AAA= to below 10 seconds, so you will have it ready the next time you enter the shroud.
