About us
- Lucky Noobs is a well-known hardcore PvE guild in Guild Wars 2 with focus on raids.
Our goal is to always get the fastest possible run you can get with the current meta. Because of this, we spend a lot of time creating spreadsheets, doing theory crafts and testing new possible team compositions for new records or good kill times.
LN is not a guild you should join for your full clear or just to raid with us once every 2 weeks.
You need the right dedication and the will to improve because it is always our top priority that we are constantly improving our gameplay!

Some General Information about the guild Lucky Noobs
LN is raiding 3-4 times a week depending on work or uni schedules.
In general, we raid 3 hours per raid day from 19:30-22:30. On our raid days, we either grind one or two bosses for the entire raid time to get a good kill/time,
or we just practice some Wings to improve our overall performance in all Wings.
Everyone has to be on Discord and should be able to talk and communicate in German with each other. We do not mute ourselves and only listen to important calls during a raid.
We trashtalk a lot during raids and having fun, while still be 100% focused on the boss or your rotation.
Also, everyone has to pay a tiny amount of gold per month, so we can craft ascended food for every role in each encounter we face. You never have to use your own food!

What makes LN so special?
The Lucky Noobs were founded in 2005 in Guild Wars 1 and are still active in Guild Wars 2 without any break in between that time. This makes LN to oldest still active hardcore guild in Guild Wars by far. None other guild had such an impressive past as LN had in Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2.
During that time the guild went through ups and downs but always stayed alive and active!
Every member in LN tries to help each other out whenever they can and are always there for you if you need help.
The guild is more like a big family that always stands together no matter what is happening. We are all spending a lot of time together while playing Guild Wars 2, some other games or just chilling around in Discord.
Having fun and not taking things too seriously is very important for us, because why would you want to be in a guild where you do not have fun.

Pre-Trial and Trial Period
You want to apply for Lucky Noobs and want to know what is happening after you sent your application? Once you applied for Lucky Noobs through our Application Form, we will get an Email with your Application. After checking your application we will contact you via Discord and trying to solve all questions you still have about LN. If you fulfil all our requirements we can talk about a date where we can do your Pre-Trial.
What exactly is a Pre-Trial?
- The Pre-Trial for Lucky Noobs is divided into two parts, a Golem Part and a Raid Part.
In the Golem Part, you have to show us all the DPS classes you applied on and you have to try to reach our LN Numbers (Requirements Tab).
For each class, you have around 3-5 tries to reach that number! Don’t be afraid, those numbers are totally not grinded and you should reach them without any problems and any RNG-Grind in 1-3 tries.
Once you showed us all your classes we will decide if your performance was good enough to start the Raid Part.
- We know that most of you are super nervous during the trial. We take that into account! None of us will let you fail the Golem Part only because you couldn’t reach one or two numbers, or are a few hundred DPS too low.
The Golem Part normally happens 1 hour before your Raid Part. (E.g. Golem Part 7 pm, Raid Start 8 pm)
- The Raid Part is pretty straight forward and just includes some Raid Wings we want to see from you. You don’t have to do any super special jobs, you have never done before (Like VG Tanking as Druid or Warrior Kite on Qadim1).
It is more like a normal raid clear with our guild where you just have to perform as good as you can!
Usually, we do two entire Raid Wings + 1 Boss for your Trial. We want to see as many of your raid classes as possible, so we choose our Wings depending on the classes you applied on.
Most of the time you can expect a very typical boss for the class we want to see you on. (E.g.: Daredevil will be either Qadim 1 or Samarog; Renegade is probably Dhuum or Matthias)
We will not tell you the wings we want to do with you in advance! You should be prepared for everything!
- For the entire Pre-Trial you have to be on Discord with us!
After we are done with the Raid, we will quickly move you out of the Channel, discuss a bit about your performance and decide if you passed the Pre-Trial or not!
- There are three(!) aspects we pay attention to in your Trial: DPS, Mechanics and Communication!
As you can see not only your DPS is important (ofc it is still imperative), you have to play the mechanics properly, and you should try to communicate as good as you can with your Raid Squad!
Trial Period
- If you passed your Pre-Trial you will get invited to our ingame guild Lucky Noobs, get access to our sheets and Discord channels.
From this point on your Trial Period starts.
The Trial Period is around 4 Weeks (maybe less or more, always depends on the situation and player). In those 4 weeks, you have to do nothing special, you just have to join some guild runs, where we can check your performance.
- There won’t be any sort of Endtrial, we will just decide (Membervote) after 4 Weeks if you fit in our Guild.
Two aspects are very important here: Gameplay and Personality!
You won’t pass your Trial if you just do not fit into the guild personality-wise, even if your gameplay is insanely good.
